“Is it necessary to drink milk during pregnancy?”
I am a 29 year old pregnant woman. Is it necessary to drink milk during pregnancy?

It is not imperative that you drink milk during pregnancy. It is important for you to eat well-balanced meals and to take your prenatal vitamins.
That is an interesting question.
During pregnancy a significant amount of calcium is required for the growing fetus. That means that the mother's calcium stores, i.e., her bones, are "raided" by the pregnancy. Thus the mother needs to constantly replenish them, and milk, cheeses, yogurt, and other dairy products are great sources of calcium. If you are unable to deal with milk, you may want to look into alternative sources or calcium tablets.
I hope this helps.
