Plastic Surgeon Questions Face contouring treatment

How safe is a face contouring treatment?

I am planning to undergo a face contouring treatment from a skin treatment clinic. Are these treatments safe or do they have any associated side effects?

Hello, there are many modalities in face contouring. You need to be more specific regarding the machine being used. As well, make sure that the skin clinic is operated by a reputable experienced physician. For further inquiries or questions, you may want to visit my website at DrRoyamd@aol.com. Good Luck!!!!
At Elite Body Spa we do various treatments to improve the facial contours. Obviously the most critical factor is how much contouring is required. Most non-invasive treatments are limited in the results that can be achieved. We have laser skin tightening, Several RF (RadioFrequency) options, and other options as well

Facial contouring can be done with a few modalities like filler injections, liposuction, and face lifting, to name a few. Be sure your treatment is administered by an appropriately trained physician like a plastic surgeon. There are many “clinics" where such procedures are done by untrained physicians or even non physicians. Be very sure what type of treatment you're getting and what the qualifications of your treater are.
Dear inquirer,

The contouring procedure is safe, no swelling, no bruising.

Thank you.
Hi and thank you for your question. "Facial contouring" usually means the addition of some hyaluronic acid or other types of fillers to areas of the face that have either lost some volume (i.e. mostly fat, some bone). They are a safe and effective means of fighting some of the earlier signs of aging. Safety depends more on the experience of the injector and their approach. Make sure to ask to see pictures of previous cases and to find out who'll be performing the injection.
Good morning:

The question about facial contouring depends on what the actual facial contouring treatment is meant to be. With the advent of new products, such as fillers based on highly crossed linked hyaluronic acid, many new treatments have become available. Other compounds are also used. In my personal opinion the treatments based on Hyaluronic acid are the safest. Depending on the facial region, different fillers are used. As stated before, these HA fillers are safe, and they provide an immediate change in aspect. The best way is to consult an experienced injector in your area for better results.

Fat atrophy (loss of volume, scarring, chronic pain, asymmetry, and hypo/hyper-pigmentation) has been described, as opposed to standard facelift/necklift rejuvenation approaches, which have the most common side effects of scarring and temporary numbness.
All procedures have some sort of risk. I would ask the clinic before undergoing the treatment. Your safest course of action would be to find a board-certified Plastic Surgeon and visit them to have your treatments done.
Face contouring treatments need to be assessed on an individual basis, taking into account many variables including skin elasticity and texture, as well as the foundation of underlying anatomic structures. These procedures can provide very real results when provided by an experienced plastic surgeon. And keep in mind that no one treatment is a fit for all patients. If you would like a personalized consultation best, a best option scenario for your particular situation, I would be happy to see you. Please call 514-941-5562 in order to schedule an appt.
I am not exactly sure which treatment you mean, but generally skin treatments are safe with experienced people. There are chemical peels, lasers, radio frequency, microneedling. All have ups and downs, but they are all safe.
These treatments definitely have side effects such as: permanent hypo pigmentation, hyper pigmentation and scarring just to name a few. I would recommend you see a board certified Plastic Surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who offers these treatments.
