Anesthesiologist Questions Anesthesia

Is it safe to get an anesthesia done when I have just taken a painkiller?

Without thinking, I took a 500mg tylenol when I am supposed to have surgery in 8 hours. Will this have a negative effect when I am under anesthesia?

Just let your anesthesiologist know. It should not really matter.
No
500 mg of Tylenol will not in any way impact your anesthetic. In fact IV Tylenol is commonly used to treat pain during surgery. As always, it is very important to tell your anesthesia provider, any medicine, prescription and over the counter including any recreational drugs that you take.
No problem
Probably even a beneficial effect
It shouldn't if you do not have liver disease, and you still remained at least 6-8 hours prior to your surgery. Criteria include morbid obesity, intake of solid food, would require the full 8 hrs prior to surgery +
It should not be an issue.
No. In fact it is better to control your pain before anesthesia, so Tylenol 8 hours before is a good idea.
No worries, won't have any effect
