“Should I brush my teeth after a filling?”
I am a 23 year old male and I will have a filling next week. Should I brush my teeth after a filling?

Not necessarily after a filling, but after eating. Then daily flossing to prevent recurring of decay.
You can brush with your regular schedule once or twice per day. If a silver filling is placed, wait for one hour before brushing. There is no need to brush just because a filling was placed, but rinse your mouth with water to be sure any remnants of your old filling, decay, or excess
material from the new filling is removed.
material from the new filling is removed.
Yes, that will remove any excess material that may be left behind.

Yes, you should brush your teeth with proper technique at least 2 times a day unless told otherwise by your dentist

Generally speaking there is no contradiction to cleaning teeth after a filling. So yes - you can brush your teeth.
Absolutely you should brush your teeth after fillings, unless you dentist specifically says not to brush the area.
You should floss correctly and brush correctly every day. Your tooth structure around fillings need to be cleaned. You can get decay in your tooth structure around your filling. People bathe every day, and should be flossing correctly and brushing correctly. Your teeth should last you as long as you live THAT'S why you have to clean them every day. Fillings don't make your teeth stronger, fillings restore your teeth back to the way they should be. There should be no places on your teeth where food particles can be trapped and cause decay. You need your teeth!
