“Should I be avoiding exercise with scoliosis?”
I used to be really into sports before I was diagnosed with scoliosis, but once I started feeling some pain and the doctor found a curve in my spine, I stopped because I thought I needed to. I want to get back into, at least, running. But do you think I should be avoiding exercise with scoliosis?

Exercise is being recommended more and more as a treatment for mild to moderate scoliosis. By being proactive and performing these exercises, you may be able to slow the curvature of your spine and decrease the pain you feel as a result of your scoliosis.
I am going to assume that your scoliosis is mild, and you are pain-free. If this is the case, then there is no reason why you cannot participate in sports. Running, cycling, and mild weight training are all fine and will not cause any problems with the scoliosis.
