Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea and treatment. Any suggestions?

I have very severe sleep apnea, 90-95 apneas per hour. I cannot tolerate a CPAP. I am concerned, I may not wake up in the morning. I was interested in Inspire Therapy but there are restrictions, like your BMI, has to be low. I am scared of what may happen. Any suggestions.

I think you need to see a sleep specialist to work with you on cpap treatment. There are a lot of things they can do to help you. Weight loss surgery could be important for you to decrease the severity of your sleep apnea which might qualify you for inspire. You can also try oral devices which can decrease the severity, but doesn't resolve your sleep apnea. Again, a sleep specialist should be able to guide you through this.
