“My daughter is complaining of some pain around her breasts. Is it normal?”
My daughter is 12 years old and is now experiencing physical changes. She has been complaining of breast pain recently, but the doctor says it is okay. Is it normal? I just want to make sure.

Yes. It is normal to have breast discomfort/pain during puberty when they are still developing especially cold may make it worse. So warm compress, Tylenol/ibuprofen if needed.
This is completely normal. Two things that will help are occasional ibuprofen and a heating pad. If any severe pain, warmth to touch or abnormal discharge from the nipple should be evaluated immediately.
Welcome to puberty. Your daughter is a little behind her peers if she is just getting started. Don’t’ worry, she will catchup. Both boys and girls have this problem as either the testosterone or estrogen take over. Can last weeks and will wax and wane, and variable from one side to the other. It should be quite a while until menstruation however.
