upper abdominal pain

i have had upper abdominal pain for 6 months that started after 2 months of taking an antibiotic doxycycline. the pain is very dull but very constant throughout the day. the pain goes away at night when i sleep. My stool had been lighter brown for several months as well and did not have good formation. it has gotten better over the last several weeks of normal color and formation. sometimes i can see a very clear translucent layer of something on top of the water after a bowel movement. my back has been hurting as well in different locations. i have had a ct scan with contrast that showed an 11mm hypodensity in my liver. i have had an endoscopy which didnt reveal much and i have had an ultrasound 6 months after the Ct scan to monitor the 11mm hypodensity in the liver and it was diagnosed as a hemangioma. i have had all sorts of blood and lab work for liver kidney and pancreas functions and everything is normal. Not really sure where to go from here or if this is just something i have to live with for awhile until it resolves on its own. I took PPI's back towards the beginning of this but they didnt make any difference.

Constant dull pain does not usually have origin in the intestinal tract. If the pain does not worsen with food, then even less reason to think that this is a lumenal GI problem. It could be something outside of the intestinal tract or even abdominal wall or musculoskeletal problem. A detailed history can help sort it out. A lot of HCPs order lots of tests (that show nothing) but they don't take the time to take a detailed history, which results in delayed diagnosis.
