Phlebologist Questions Varicose Veins

I think I have varicose veins. How is this treated?

I notice that I see a lot more of my veins along my legs, and I believe it's varicose veins, judging from what I'm reading. How is this really treated in people?

1 Answer

The treatment of varicose veins includes multiple modalities to close or remove the veins, i.e., Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA), Radiofrequency Ablation, Clarivein, Varithena, VenaSeal, Ambulatory Phlebectomy, and Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy. Alternatively, one may select a conservative therapy, i.e., wearing compression stockings/apparel. Always consult a fellowship-trained and American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM) Certified vascular specialist, for a consultation, evaluation, and treatment plan that's best for your lifestyle.
