Ophthalmologist Questions Eye color

What are the risks with iris-implant procedures?

I want to change my eye color from brown to blue, and the only way I found that does it is an iris-implant procedure. Are there any risks with this surgery?

The only risk is that YOU COULD LOSE YOUR EYES.

Loss of vision, pain, glaucoma, infection, cataract, chronic ocular inflammation are all possibilities. See https://www.aao.org/eye-health/tips-prevention/iris-implants-risk-eye-damage
No eye surgeon worth speaking with will agree to perform iris implant surgery to change your iris color. If some surgeon agrees to do that, run away from them. Just try colored contact lenses. If that doesn't work, be happy with your healthy eyes.

Yes infection glaucoma and cataracts
Yes. It's Invasive and risks eye infection, trauma leading to cataract formation, and glaucoma. It's a price to be considered. Use a colored contact lens, it's safer.
Yes, serious inflammation, blindness and permanent scarring of the pupil and perhaps glaucoma as well, a potentially blinding disease.
