“What are the side effects of a blood transfusion?”
I needed a blood transfusion after a surgery that I had, where I lost a lot of blood. But ever since my transfusion, I've had back pain and my skin looks flushed. Yesterday I had a fever and the chills. Could these be side effects of a blood transfusion?

There are very few side effects of a blood transfusion. If the cross match is done improperly there could be immediate side effects. Blood that is donated is checked for certain infectious agents and donors are asked if they are feeling well before they donate.
