I am a 27 year old female. I want to know what are the advantages of spinal anesthesia?

You are awake and aware during surgery
Doesn’t have to get general anesthesia. It depends on the type of surgery.
I think the biggest advantage is avoiding general anesthesia, assuming the procedure is appropriate for a spinal anesthetic. Many times, meds can be added to help with pain control post operatively.
The first advantage is you are free of the intubation risk..aspiration Neumonia..trauma to teeth.etc.
