I am a 28-year-old male who will be going under local anesthesia for a procedure soon. What are the most common side effects of local anesthesia?

You mean nerve block with or without sedation. If nerve block, it is similar to a dental nerve block.
Dizziness..drowssiness ..headache.. numbness
Numbness, metallic taste in mouth, ringing in ears (rare). Nerve injury is rare but possible. There are others but all are uncommon.
