“What are the risks of Mohs surgery?”
I am a 54 year old female. My doctor recommended Mohs surgery for me. What are the risks of Mohs surgery?

There is no risk to Mohs Surgery!! This is the BEST procedure to make sure the entire tumor is completely removed.
The risks are the same as for any skin surgery. Black and blue, swelling, nerve sensation change, muscle function change. It’s best to ask your surgeon since location plays an important role in side effects.

The risk of the same as any surgery on the skin. Scarring, changes in skin pigmentation hypo or hyper pigmentation. Also bleeding swelling soreness pain and of course infection. For more information please visit the American Society of MOHS website
