I am a 54 year old male. I will have a polypectomy. What are the side effects of polypectomy?

Mainly post-polypectomy syndrome and bleeding.
The most common is no side effect. Bleeding and perforations are rare but possible
Generally you should not have any real side effects. There certainly is a chance that you will have mild discomfort and you could have significant bleeding later in the post op course. We would advise staying near your home for 2 weeks in the event that this may occur.
