Urologist Questions Prostatitis

What are the treatment options for prostatitis?

I'm 32 and I was diagnosed with prostatis very recently but my doctor told me that it'll get better on its own. Is this really true? Are there any treatment options for prostatitis?

Proven prostatitis with C/S needs to be treated according the results of sensitivity for about 2 weeks if not more.
Typically considered an inflammation, it can be treated with anti-inflammatories warm soaks, and yes, occasionally it will improve. We also find that caffeine aggravates the issue. Occasionally, some people have an enlarged prostate which will respond to Flomax.

There are many different ways to treat prostatitis. In some cases, it does get better on its own. I like to add natural therapies and behavior therapies along with anti-inflammatory therapy. I would get a second opinion if you are not satisfied with the first.
