Dentist Questions Bad Breath

What can be the cause of my bad breath?

My breath smells bad a majority of the time. I'm not sure if this is because of oral issues (haven't gone to the dentist though), but I do get frequent bouts of indigestion. Could that be causing my bad breath?

Bad breath is from bacteria in the mouth
GERD, or gastro-esophageal reflux disease can cause bad breath, but there are a number of other causes ranging from periodontal disease to volatile sulfur compounds on the tongue. A tongue scraper can be of benefit as well as a good oral hygiene regimen. Don’t forget to visit your dental professional to make sure your gums are healthy.
Thanks for the question!
It could be both may be causing the problem. See your dentist, if you have not been flossing and brushing regularly, this could be your problem. People who floss regularly know if they stop flossing. they can't stand the taste in their mouths. They KNOW that their breath smells. Please see your dentist. Have them show you how to floss and brush correctly.
Go to a dentist. Get his/her exam and report.
The main cause for bad breath is usually gum disease or tooth decay. If is is not either of those problems, it could point to a systemic, possibly serious, condition. It might mean that you are breathing through your mouth. If you have corresponding gastrointestinal issues, it could be a breathing disorder like sleep apnea. Either way you should see your dentist and\or ENT.
Yes, it could be digestive, but if you haven’t been to a dentist, then you should certainly make an appointment.
