My son is 10-years-old and he constantly has earaches. What causes earaches in children?

Earache can be originate from either middle ear or external ear and sometimes problem inside the mouth. Not all earaches are ear infection, i.e. middle ear infection.
At his age it is usually allergies or chronic sinusitis that causes an ear infection. You need to make sure it is not the ear canal with external otitis. This is usually caused by fungus and needs ear drops.
