Nausea and vomiting is a common complaint after geta. Causes are nitrous oxide, a gas. Also, narcotics like fentanyl give nausea. Also, if you are menstruating, and certain procedures like ear surgeries and laparoscopic produce more nausea.
There are many causes of nausea associated with general anesthesia, including female sex (not you), failure to adhere to at least 8 hours fasting prior to anesthesia, diabetes, GERD, use of opiates for pain relief, obesity, gastroparesis, residual anesthetic agents, and failure to receive multiple anti-nausea drugs prior to awakening from general anesthesia.
