“What could be the cause of my testicle pain?”
I am a 30 year old male and my left testicle hurts very often. What could be the cause of my testicle pain?

Unfortunately this is a common problem, usually on the left side, and a lot of times no clear cut reason can be found. However, you could be suffering from Vericoclele, a swelling of veins in your scrotum, or epididymitis. A physical exam, urine test and ultrasound of your testicles is usually the starting point.
Detailed history is important. Advice is to see a urologist for further evaluation. Many things may cause testicular pain, e.g.:
•Epididymitis
•Kidney stones
•Testicular tumor, testicular torsion, or trauma
•Inguinal hernia
•Orchitis
•Infections like the mumps

There are many possible causes tor testicular pain (orchialgia). Inguinal hernia, orchitis, torsion, epididymitis are some of the most common causes.
Up to 50% of patients may present with no identifiable etiology. Otherwise, pain in the scrotal contents can be due to direct sources, including infection, torsion, tumor, obstruction, varicoceles, spermatoceles, and, rarely, hydroceles, and can occur after direct trauma as well as iatrogenic injury after vasectomy or inguinal hernia repair. Seek in-person medical advice for further information.
