What do you do if your crown falls off your tooth?

My crown fell out yesterday, and I'm not sure of what to do. Should I go back to the dentist? What should I do?

Please return to your dentist as soon as possible. You may need a simple recement. But the longer you wait the more likely you will need a more expensive and time consuming treatment.
If the crown came off, yes, you need to go back to the dentist and see what is wrong.
it is always prudent to go back to the original provider first.
Call your dentist so that he/she can recement it back
Go to your dentist to put it back on. If the crown is less than 2 years old it would be a wonder as to why the crown fell off. You may want to ask the dentist why he thinks the crown fell off. There are some circumstances where it is understandable but in most cases a crown should not fall off unless it has been in place for 10 or more years.
Yes go back and have it recemented in so decay will not ruin the tooth.
There usually is a reason why your crown falls off. Sometimes it may be from eating very sticky chewy Foods, or if it's been in your mouth for a while there could be leakage and recurrent Decay forming. My recommendation would be to get in to see a dentist and have it looked at to determine the cause sometimes we can just re-cement if everything is okay. If this should ever happen to someone when you're away from your dentist you can use something to put it in temporarily I usually recommend denture adhesive.
Yes, you should definitely see a dentist. The tooth may have a fracture & require immediate attention.
Go see a dentist as soon as possible. They can often be recemented back in place if the tooth under the crown in intact. If you wait, the soft tooth structure underneath is exposed to decay and the teeth will often shift.
Yes, if your crown came off, you should return to the dentist to have it recemented.
If the crown was placed less than a year ago, it is usually better to call the dentist who placed the crown. The crown might still be under warranty. If it has been more than a year, you might have a cavity and the crown might need to be remade. In that case, call any dentist you like.

The best advice that I can give it to go back to your dentist. This is the best way to find out why the crown came off. There are numerous possible reasons, such as a cavity forming under the crown, or a fracture of the tooth, or wearing a hole in the crown. Sometimes it is just something simple and the crown can be re-cemented, sometimes it cannot. It is best to bring the crown with you to your appointment.

Any time a tooth is crowned the purpose is to protect the remaining tooth structure from damage and decay. Additionally, the crown will help to maintain the position of the teeth around it. If a crown comes off, contact your dentist as quickly as possible to have it replaced.
When a crown comes off, you need to see your dentist. There are a lot of variables that go into placing a crown. If you have not been flossing or brushing your crown along with your natural teeth, your crown may have developed a cavity along the gum line and the cement started washing out. Our teeth move all the time. Your bite may have changed and you may have been biting hard on the crowned tooth. Depending on what the condition of your tooth, your crown may be able to be recemented. If the tooth was root canaled, you may not have any pain. You need to get back to your dentist; if you wait too long, your crown may not fit.
