“What does it mean if you have a spot on your liver?”

A spot on the liver is a way of explaining an abnormal imaging study, particularly if unclear what kind of abnormality that is. It could be a collection of blood vessels, a cyst (thin-walled lesion filled with fluid), or a solid lesion that can be cancerous or not.
