“What happens if a torn ACL is not repaired?”
I am a 17 year old male. I have a torn ACL from playing soccer. Should I have a surgery to repair it? What happens if a torn ACL is not repaired?

It should be repaired right away. Further damage to the knee usually follows without surgery
You would develop arthritis in your knee
If you stay off it and give it time, some will repair. If swelling persists and you want to get back to sports quicker, surgery is usually needed
