What helps a teething baby sleep?

My 10 month old son is teething. What helps a teething baby sleep?

Pacifier.
The pain from teething is worst just prior to the tooth pushing thru the gum mucosa. Anesthetic teething gels, such as "orajel" have been removed from the market as unsafe, as have cold or frozen teething rings. Ibuprofen is a good general pain reliever and many parents choose to use it. Check with your pediatrician for the appropriate dose. Chewing on hard, but not cold, teething toys can be helpful. The essential oil, clove, with a few drops in a carrier oil such as olive or coconut oil, rubbed on the gum, can help relieve the pain.

Tylenol or motrin for pain and low dose benadryl can be given to help him for sleep.
