The cavity has a distinct appearance contrast on the X-ray as it appears in both the superficial covering of the tooth or the enamel, and a much more radical reactions to the underlying Denton. This is the lawyer that takes that contains nerves and blood vessels and protects the actual root canal of the tooth and therefore its vitality
Basically the first step is plaque (the fuzzy stuff you feel on the teeth in the morning)...This is a sticky "biofilm" that sticks to your teeth. Bacteria (we all have billions all over our bodies) Eat the sugars in our diet and metabolize them to acid as a by-product. The acid wears through the protective outer layer of enamel allowing the bacteria to penetrate further into the softer layers of the teeth. The bacteria continue to eat away at the tooth itself causing the tooth to essentially disintegrate and become "soft"
