Take a proton pump inhibitor such and omeprazole or lansoprazole. Realize, however, that most stomach pain is not from an ulcer and it should not be assumed that an ulcer is present without diagnostic evidence.
If it is bacterial infection than with a course of antibiotics. Either way, healthy eating with no irritants and or complex foods will help.
The correct way is to suppress gastric acid, treat Helicobacter Pylori if present, avoid smoking and alcohol and change to bland diet.
How were you diagnosed with an ulcer? Did you get an EGD (the only way to really get an accurate diagnosis of an ulcer)? Also what else did the EGD find (bacterial infection, erosions, etc). Once you have that information then you will know how to treat it.
Medications called proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole or panteprazole
