“What is wrong with my ankle bone?”
I bumped my ankle really bad yesterday and now I'm in a great deal of pain. Is this just a bruise? Should I see a doctor?

Yes. If you are having significant discomfort or difficulty with ambulation, then you should be evaluated by an MD - and most likely receive X-rays.
It is likely just a bruise and should recover within a week. If not, an X-ray will rule out a fracture
Best to get it checked. Even if it’s not broken, early intervention can be very helpful.
