“What kind of surgery is done for sleep apnea?”
I am a 36 year old male. I have sleep apnea and want to treat it. What kind of surgery is done for sleep apnea?

Surgery might include tonsillectomy or removing part of the soft palate or surgery on the nose to straighten the septum. There are many ways to do each of these. Moving the tongue forward by moving the hyoid bone might also be considered. In general, surgery is not a best option for sleep apnea in most patients as fewer than half are cured.
