Lately my 1 year old daughter coughs a lot. Should I take her to a doctor? When should I be concerned about my baby's cough?

Is it a pretend cough where she is mimicking others? if so just watch. If it is constant, deep or severe with post tussive emesis or fever she will need to be checked immediately.
