Dentist Questions Wisdom Teeth

When should my wisdom teeth be removed?

I have two wisdom teeth in already, and they seem to be okay. I don't have any problems with them and the pain disappeared once they grew in. Should I have them removed though?

If you can easily access them & keep a good hygiene in that area, you can save them! Get your dentist opinion after taking xrays on your next check up
Check with your doctor. If the wisdom teeth are not causing you any problems, you can floss behind each tooth to remove plaque and food particles; you feel no pressure or pain and your teeth have not started to overlap and crowd. The root structure of each wisdom tooth has no problem. Only one person out of 25 has room for all four. WISDOM teeth come into the mouth last. If these two teeth fit into your dental arch, and there are no problems, discuss it with your doctor what you would like to do.
If you are not having problems and your dentist tells you they are not affecting the adjacent teeth then you don't need to have them removed at this time.
Between 17 and 24. Earlier ok. After 25 - 28 might not be much fun.
In general, if they don't hurt, wisdom teeth do not need to be removed. There are exceptions, but they are removed many times unnecessarily.
Wisdom teeth are not just some extra teeth that are mandatory to be removed. Some wisdom teeth are perfect and function as other molars. Taking out wisdom teeth are only require if: they are causing pain or damage to soft tissue (gum), hard tissue (bone), other teeth, and misalignments of other teeth ordered by an orthodontist, oral surgeon, or your general dentist. They are always exceptions, but visiting your dentist would be the first step in evaluation of your wisdom teeth status and condition.
Wisdom teeth removal is often based off of your ability to keep the area clean long term. See your dentist
If and when to remove wisdom teeth is a complex question depending on many factors-available space, axis for cleaning, pain risk of surgery vs benefits. These should all be considered and discussed with you by your treating potential surgeon. You touched on a couple of factors in favor for your case, however the answer needs more information from an evaluation by your dentist and or oral surgeon.
