Foot pain is not normal, no matter the job or activity. please seek my office help or local podiatrist for consult. please go to my office's social media or website to see what a podiatrist can do to help.
If the foot pain remains unresolved for a week to two weeks at the most, you should see your doctor for evaluation.
Always a good idea to see a doctor when you are having pain to the foot or ankle. Could be stress fractures or other concerns that you will want treated
One should seek professional care when ever there is prolonged or protracted pain w/o relief. All seniors, diabetics or others with any chronic or protracted medical condition should see a Podiatrist.
If you suspect an injury or if the pain has failed to resolve after several days of self treatment then I would recommend following up with a Podiatrist.
If you have had pain for over two weeks and you have tried ice as well as anti inflammatories for 10 days to 2 weeks then see a doctor :).
You should see a physician for your pain if the pain lasts for more than 2-3 weeks, if the pain came after a trauma or contusion, or if pain is worsening and not improving. There is not a real definitive answer to this question because different pathologies present differently. Gout or an infection, for example, is something that you should see a doctor for immediately.
I recommend seeing a doctor if the pain lasts more than a week without a know injury such as twisting your foot, stubbing your toe, etc. There are lots of sources for foot pain and many are easily correctable! See an orthopedic foot specialist if you can’t get good answers from your family doc. Make sure YOU understand what they believe the source of the pain is and research it yourself as well. Treat your feet well. You are young and mechanically they need to carry you through life! Avoid surgery at all costs and follow through on recommended
treatments that may include orthotic supports, specific shoes, stretches, or physical therapy.

It is never normal to have foot pain. If you do not have an obvious cause such as an injury or improperly fitted shoes, you should consult a podiatrist.
