Are you flossing? Teeth are moving super important to keep the gums healthy by flossing & brushing !
It is important to get checked for gingivitis which is when the tissue becomes inflammed due to bacterial build up between our teeth. Look up a video of proper flossing technique. Floss two times a day followed by a rinse like Listerine than brush 2 mins. Do not eat or drink for 30 mins after brushing so the toothpaste has a chance to decrease the bacteria. You may notice bleeding while flossing and brushing. This is part of the normal healing process in the mouth. Every week you should notice less bleeding. It can take 4 to 6 weeks to get ride of gingivitis. Make sure your trays are also cleaned well with soap and water or cleaning crystals which your provider may have given to you to decrease bacteria load. If you dont see improvements after 2 weeks make an appointment with your provider.
Likely because your teeth are beginning to move orthodontically. Your dental hygiene should be the best that it can be, whether with traditional braces or Invisalign. Floss regularly, rinse with warm salt water rinses (8 oz warm water and a shake of salt) 2 to 3 times per day for 5 days to cut down the bacterial load. If not improved in 7 days, see your orthodontist or dentist.
It's possible especially if they placed anchors on some teeth to attach to the aligners you are having trouble keeping them clean and that is causing gum disease / gingivitis. In general moving teeth with Invisalign or braces causes trauma to the teeth and supporting structures which also contribute to gum inflammation. That makes your oral hygiene even more important.
Hi,

There could be several reasons you're having bleeding after starting Invisalign. My best recommendation is to make an appointment with your orthodontist (or the dentist that is performing the Invisalign) to have them take a look.
You could be bleeding because of hygiene issues. With invisilogn it could be harder to keep up with hygieine. Gingivitis is a common phenomenon that occur with orthodontics invisalign or braces. Less likely would be trauma or inflamation from movement. Make sure you are properly brushing and flossing at least twice a day. Speak to your general dentist and hygienist for advice and instruction. Speak with orthodontist if invisalign is ill fitting.
