“Why do I get rough patches around my back teeth?”
I'm 30, and around my back teeth, I feel like I get these rough-textured patches that I can feel with my tongue. It pretty much feels like a rash on my gums. What could be causing this?

Try electronic tooth brush & make sure you are flossing, then removing the plaque with the toothbrush in that area! See a dentist every six months for cleaning
The mouth and tongue are very sensitive. You can have a mouthful of food and you will be able to detect one strand of hair. When you remove the food from your mouth, you will see it. When you do mouth care, are you flossing first then brushing? Flossing removes plaque and food particles around the tooth gum line junction. With a soft toothbrush, you start at the back teeth, half tooth, half gum. You brush back and forth gently. You brush around to the other cheek side, making sure you brush the front gum line area. You do the tongue side gum line all around to the opposite side. The flat surfaces are done. Then you do the upper teeth. You clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Rinse with warm salt water and gargle. You stated your molars have these rough patches. Then then you mentioned having rough patches on your gums. Flossing, brushing, and tongue cleaning should be done daily, twice a day. If you are having gum problems, do home care and rinse your mouth with warm salt water several times a day. If you don't see any improvement in two weeks, you may want to consult your dentist.
