“Why does acupuncture help fertility?”
I'm 32 years old and I'm trying to have a child with my husband. We've been trying for about two months, and still I'm not pregnant. How does acupuncture help fertility?

Acupuncture with herbs, probably King herbs, and sometimes massage can help infertility. Fixing the soil first helps plants to grow. I suggest you try it.

Not sure how to answer the "how does acupuncture." It is still scientifically an unknown how it works. But it works. 2 months doesn't seem like a super long time... but i have experienced great success with fertility treatments in my patients.
So, 2 months is not very long. We would consider it a problem after a year, it is never too early to get acupuncture. Your acupuncturist should help you to regulate your periods, and may be able to help you monitor your ovulation. You acupuncturist may want to see your husband as well and may want to put you both on formulas to help sperm count and motility and to create the optimal environment in the womb to promote conception. I would seek an acupuncturist who specialized in fertility for this.
It helps improve circulation, stable endocrine system, and also relaxes the mind and body, which is good for both males and females.
Acupuncture does help infertility by adjusting the whole body function and energy to increase the chance of pregnancy.

Acupuncture can definitely assist in fertility. I recently went through this process, and now I’m 23 weeks pregnant. There are a few questions I have for you: Have you and your husband had a blood tests done to check your levels? Have you had any tests done like an SIS, or HSG? 2 months is not a long time, although when trying to conceive it feels like forever. You can always do what I did. I looked at my daily routine and I cut certain things out. No alcohol, boosted my supplements from Chinese herbs to a multi. Cleansed my body, mind, and really tried not to stress out. Acupuncture was extremely helpful in the journey.
Acupuncture helps to balance and harmonize the body so that it’s able to support new life depending on the differentiation that you’re showing determines the effectiveness
Acupuncture has a regulatory effect on hormones that has been proven in countless research studies. It is by way of regulating hormones that acupuncture reduces stress, regulates the female menstrual cycle and aids in all aspects of fertility, pregnancy and birth. It can even improve sperm count and function in men.
Firstly, I want you to know that you're not considered "infertile" until you've been trying without success for a year. So give yourself a break!
Acupuncture works in several ways to support fertility. There are many different reasons why you may be having difficulty (stress, irregular periods, physical conditions, and even fear that you may not be ready, etc.) and acupuncture can work with all of these. Your acupuncturist will find what that reason is (your root condition) and work to resolve it.
It is important to note that we don't look at childbearing as a purely scientific event. It is a very spiritual experience in Chinese medicine. Keep and open mind when working with your acupuncturist and don't be afraid to ask questions. Understanding where you are is the best way to determine how to get to where you want to be.

In a nutshell, by supplying the blood and vital energy to reproductive organs. I cannot spend time explaining HOW acupuncture helps with this or that pathology since it may take many many hours that I don't have unfortunately. Your acupuncture doctor may do that in your first visit. (We spent 8+ years to learn all the mechanisms [anatomy, physiology, pathology, byophysics and such] and it cannot be explained in few words or in few minutes.)
Assuming both you and your husband have been through some conventional testing and there are no structural issues or sperm number/quality issues, then, yes, acupuncture can probably help.
Exactly what the mechanism of action is for acupuncture in fertility is still a little unclear. What we do know is that:
1. Acupuncture promotes the 'rest and digest' portion of the autonomic nervous system. This helps lower stress and associated stress hormones which can sometimes interfere with fertility.
2. Acupuncture dilates blood vessels and promotes blood flow. This helps to bring nourishment to internal organs which can also be a benefit with fertility issues.
When dealing with fertility issues, you really want to see someone who is licensed as an acupuncturist in your state and who specializes in fertility issues. If you're not in CA, I'd suggest starting with the "Find a Practitioner" look up at NCCAOM.org.

Every person is different, so I can't tell you how acupuncture would help you. But after examining you, your practitioner will be able to. Call around and find someone who has done fertility treatments in the past. You'll be happy you did!
Acupuncture helps with fertility by stimulating blood flow into the uterus and increasing egg count in the ovaries.
I do not specialize in fertility treatments with acupuncture, but have worked for some in the past. Acupuncture helps regulate the menstrual cycle and helps rid the body of toxic build-ups and helps regulate hormonal functions and other aspects of the body's ability to conceive.
Keep in mind that your husband should also be receiving treatments to help his sperm count and his vitality stay vibrant. It is not always the woman's body that isn't helping the pregnancy, so be sure he has some treatments or check-ups too.
