Most likely you are a mouth breather which causes bad breath
At night, the growth of bacteria in our mouths causes us to have bad breath.
Bad breath in the morning may be due to insufficient brushing and flossing before going to bed. Another cause is if you are a mouth breather when you are sleeping. If you can breathe through your nose, look into mouth taping to train for the preferred nasal breathing when sleeping.

Bacteria accumulate in the mouth overnight and hence there is a tendency for bad breath when waking up. You will need to brush teeth and tongue to remove that breath.
Maybe you don’t brush and floss at night? Tongue cleaner/scraper is required also.
