“Why does my son have trouble focusing?”
My 9-year-old son has a lot of trouble focusing at school and it's beginning to affect his grades. I also noticed that he fidgets a lot. It's been happening for a while but I didn't think much of it. What could be causing this?

Lots of reasons: such as low Vitamin D and or ADHD? He needs to be evaluated and then offered the right treatment. Start with talking to his pediatrician and they can guide you. Hope that helps.
He needs eyeglasses.
There are many things that may affect attention including diet, need for regular exercise and play other than on electronics. If it is affecting his ability to function, it may be helpful to have an evaluation by a professional to help clarify if there might be anxiety, a mood disorder, or AD/HD affecting attention.
