Why should you not drink alcohol after anesthesia?

I am a 33-year-old male. I want to know why should you not drink alcohol after anesthesia?

Additive effects of the sedation, including any pain meds, can exacerbate the effects of alcohol on your brain. Better to avoid that!
It may affect your reaction to the medication after your anesthesia and it may also affect your recovery after anesthesia.
Both intra-operative and post-operative medication dosing usually involves administration of narcotics, which act synergistically to slow respiration and intensify sedation to possibly dangerous levels.
General anesthetics are almost metabolized by the liver. Drinking etoh could lead to liver impairment.
