Will I need anesthesia for dental bonding?

I am having two of my teeth bonded in a couple of weeks. Will I need anesthesia?

If strictly bonding is being completed no anesthesia is required. It may be used for your comfort, and also to prevent gingival bleeding allowing for appropriate bonding and final color.
It really depends on what's shown by the X-ray as to how involved the lesion is that's going to be restored. This will be a judgment call by your dentist as he or she will want you to be to be in the most comfort during the procedure and generally it's better to have it on board then to apply. Later on during the treatment. So sometimes relative analgesics can be used like nitrous oxide without giving injections or possible premedication can be recommended to be taken the night before
