Not in the USA and the European "first-world countries." We have plenty. We can manufacture it. Third-world countries don't have it. China only has insulin for the upper party people. Majority of China has no insulin. WE GOT IT in USA. Canada has it. Don't need to get the newer expensive insulins. NPH and REgular are $25 a vial and are still great insulins. You can buy them over the counter without a prescription.
INSULIN WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, WALMART HAS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE INSULIN AT $25 FOR 1,000 UNITS. INSULIN IS MADE IN LARGE VATS BY BACTERIA OR YEAST
AND THEY WILL KEEP WORKING AS LONG AS IT IS NEEDED. THERE ARE MANY TYPES OF INSULIN, AND SOON, WEEKLY INSULIN WILL BE AVAILABLE.

There should not be any change in insulin supply/production at the pharmacies. Your daughter should follow up with her doctor to make sure she is getting necessary medication refills without running out.
Depends on where you live, of course, but as a rule pharmacies are considered essential services so will always be allowed to stay open.
As today Insulin manufactures have told that insulin supply will be okay for the next months
It shouldn't be difficult to get. Pharmacies are open, though understaffed, and the cost has come down. Insulin now is made syntheticly so it should be produced continually. Unless the insulin companies (Eli Lilly, Novo, & Sanofi) shut down because of illness of their workers, they will continue to produce insulin. Lilly has now capped the co-pay price of their insulins at $35 so we should be able to afford it. I'm very optimistic regarding the continued supply of insulin.
