Get to know Dr. Ampadu, a highly respected expert in the field of Internal Medicine

Dr. Ampadu is an accomplished and admired internist who is currently a provider at multiple facilities in the East St. Louis area including SIHF Healthcare, formerly known as Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation. SIHF Healthcare is the medical home to over 100,000 individuals seeking adult, family, women’s health, behavioral health, specialty care, and population health services.

He also is a provider at Touchette Regional Medical, among other facilities in Illinois serving the integrated healthcare needs for medical and behavioral health through direct care, education and compassion in Centreville, Illinois.

Dr. Ampadu earned his degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, in Chicago, one of the world’s largest medical districts. He completed his internship at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, formerly known as Cook County Hospital, a public hospital in the Cook County Health & Hospitals System. He also completed his internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital. Cook County’s mission is to deliver integrated health services with dignity and respect regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.

As an internist, Dr. Ampadu treats adults for a wide variety of acute and chronic symptoms and conditions – from routine matters such as the common cold or fatigue to more in-depth care for chronic diseases such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease, infectious diseases and many others.
