An excellent orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Neary is affiliated with St. Luke’s Medical Center, working with patients at their offices in Boise, Meridian, and Ketchum, Idaho.
Trained to diagnose and treat all simple and complex foot and ankle pathology, she specializes in lower extremity reconstructive surgery. While she enjoys all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, her areas of expertise include sports-related foot and ankle injuries, cartilage restoration and joint preservation, minimally invasive and arthroscopic treatment of various foot and ankle conditions, ankle replacement surgery, primary and revision forefoot surgery, and innovative techniques to allow accelerated rehabilitation.
As a lifelong athlete and a current competitive cyclist, racing in road, mountain, and cyclocross disciplines, Dr. Neary understands the debilitating nature of orthopedic problems and enjoys working with patients to help regain mobility and return to a desired level of activity.
The physicians at St. Luke’s Medical Center – Orthopedics are fellowship trained, board-certified, and highly skilled in general orthopedics, and have sub-specialty training and interests in areas such as knee, hip, and ankle replacement; pediatric orthopedics; and sports medicine. The team also manages a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including scoliosis, osteoporosis, fractures, ligament and tendon injuries, and deformities from birth defects or trauma. Dr. Neary is subspecialty trained in Foot and Ankle.
A native of Tacoma, Washington, Dr. Neary was raised to fully appreciate the active lifestyle provided by the Pacific Northwest. She excelled as a student-athlete at the University of Minnesota where she played Division 1 soccer, was recognized as an Academic All-American, and played professionally for the Minnesota Lightning. She then fulfilled a lifelong dream, graduating medical school from the Creighton University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, followed by a prestigious foot and ankle fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Giza at U.C. Davis, and Idaho native, Dr. Gregory Lundeen, at the Reno Orthopedic Clinic.
Dedicated to clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Neary is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a proud member of the American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society.
