Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Alla Gonchar, who serves patients in Brooklyn, New York.

Trusted pediatrician, Dr. Gonchar, has over four decades of experience in her field. She provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents at her private practice – Alla Gonchar Medical PC – in Brooklyn, New York. 

After earning her medical degree from Belarusian State Medical University in 1976, Dr. Gonchar relocated to the United States to serve her internship and residency in pediatrics at Jersey Shore Medical Center.

Following her training, the doctor became board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, which is primarily accountable to children, from infants to young adults, and their families as it guides professional self-regulation and certifies pediatricians. She also attained fellowship status with the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Gonchar provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. She is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
