Get to know Dentist Dr. George Bedros Apelian, who serves patients in Agoura Hills, California.

Dr. Apelian, a skilled dentist, is the Founder of Hilltop Dental in Agoura Hills, California. Since 2014, he has been providing comprehensive dental care with a focus on cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Specializing in providing patients with trusted, comprehensive care, Dr. Apelian will strive to maintain relationships and cultivate a stress-free, candid environment to help patients not only keep their teeth healthy but also thrive with a beautiful smile. He strives to be the go-to dentist, connecting preventive dental care with overall general health and wellness.

Receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University Chicago College of Dental Surgery in 1982, Dr. Apelian continues his education and learning yearly, where he studies the latest trends, technologies, and techniques in modern day dentistry. He received his post-doctorate in general dental surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles and completed his post-graduate residency at a local hospital. He also completed an osseointegrated implant surgery and prosthetic training program and has been certified by the Southern California Implant Institute.

From 1983 until 2012, Dr. Apelian was the supervising dentist and comprehensive dental practitioner at a private multidisciplinary dental practice in Tarzana, California. Then, from 2004 until 2007, he served at Goleta’s Cottage Hospital in an outpatient operating room setting, where extensive oral rehabilitative procedures were performed, free of charge, for underprivileged and developmentally disabled adolescents and young adults.

From 2003 until 2008, he served as the co-founder of the Dental Clinic at Devereux in Santa Barbara, California. The clinic rendered challenging and much needed dental and oral health care to developmentally disabled children and young adults.

Among his professional dental affiliations, Dr. Apelian is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Fernando Valley Dental Association.

Likewise, he is the Founder and the sole sponsor of a dental clinic at the Salvation Center of Disabled Children in Shengavit, Armenia. Since November of 2005, the clinic has been providing, free of charge, much needed dental care to the very poor and the underprivileged, primarily children and orphans with special needs.

To date, over 15,000 families and individuals have been treated. The clinic still continues its mission to this day through the Paros Foundation.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

Happily married, Dr. Apelian and his wife, Victoria, have three boys together. When not at the office, he loves gardening and enjoying his classic cars.

His personal objectives are to continue practicing dentistry at Hilltop Dental, to continue to meet the challenging needs of his family, and to continue to thrive in making planet earth a better place for someone, each and every day.
