Dr. Santacruz attended the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine, where she graduated with her Medical Degree. After obtaining her Medical Degree Dr. Santacruz completed her residency with Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. Following her residency, she undertook her Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship with Brown University. Dr. Santacruz is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Santacruz currently practices with Eastern Maine Medical Center in the Pediatric Oncology department. Pediatric hematologists/oncologists, a subspecialty of hematologists, deal with diseases of the blood, spleen and lymph glands in children. They treat conditions such as anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, leukemia and lymphoma.
