Dr. Levine is a dual board-certified, experienced, and highly-effective psychiatrist working with children, adolescents, and adults at his private practice in Boulder, Colorado. He provides treatment for a wide range of neurological and/or developmental challenges, or major medical issues. He specializes in complicated or challenging cases, taking time to gain an in-depth understanding of his patients, especially in cases where prior examination by other professionals has failed to yield a clear diagnosis.

Recognized as a Top Doc for the cities of Denver, Boulder, and the State of Colorado, what sets Dr. Levine apart in the field of psychiatry is his accessibility to his patients and his collaborative, evidence-based approach to the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults for disorders including ADHD, mood, anxiety, and autistic spectrum disorder. At the very start of working with every patient, he actively collaborates with the patient’s current and former caregivers and health care professionals to ensure that he has a complete holistic understanding of their specific issues. Additionally, he makes every effort to maximize the relief of symptoms with the most conservative use of medication possible. It is his ultimate goal to limit and minimize his patients’ need for further therapy as much as possible.

As for his academic career, Dr. Levine earned his medical degree from the Ben Gurion University—Columbia University Medical School for International Health in Beersheva, Israel. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, followed by his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell Universities. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree from The Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh.

The doctor’s comprehensive education in child and adolescent psychiatry has uniquely prepared him for working with psychiatric patients as young as five years old up through adulthood. He specializes in working with youths with or without developmental delays or disorders, neurological or other co-occurring medical conditions. What’s more, he treats most psychiatric illnesses such as ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, pervasive developmental disorders, Asperger syndrome, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders.

Licensed to practice medicine in the states of New York and Colorado, he is board-certified in adult psychiatry & child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

In order to remain at the forefront of his challenging field, he remains membership status with numerous professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association, the Association of American Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine, the Colorado Psychiatric Society, the Colorado Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Society, the American Association of Emergency Psychiatry, and the American Neuropsychiatric Association.
