Rashid H. Khan received his Medical Degree in 2001 from the Dow Medical College of Karachi University in Pakistan. Thereafter, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He then completed his fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at Baylor College of Medicine, as well as his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Khan remains a distinguished member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American College of Physicians, the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America, the American Medical Association, the Society of General Internal Medicine, and the European Association for the Study of the Liver. He is an established Internist, Gastroenterologist, and Hepatologist who has been practicing for over 10 years and is currently serving patients within Houston Methodist Gastroenterology Associates in Houston, Texas. He is also affiliated with the Houston Methodist Hospital, CHI St. Luke's Health, and Texas Heart Institute. Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases.
