Dr. Salem’s philosophy of care is rooted in treating each patient with dignity, compassion, and respect. He believes that exceptional healthcare transcends the mere diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. “It requires empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of each patient’s unique needs and circumstances” he explains. This holistic approach enables him to create tailored treatment plans that address not only the physical aspects of health, but also the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of his patients.

With a robust educational background, Dr. Salem earned his medical degree from AIN Shams University, School of Medicine in 1994 as well as a master’s degree in Healthcare Systems Engineering from Lehigh University, PA. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center located in East Meadow, NY, followed by fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Interventional Cardiology at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Salem is board-certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), his passion for medicine stems from his desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals. “Being a physician allows me to combine my love for science with a genuine sense of compassion,” he shares. “I am dedicated to serving others during their times of greatest need.”

Fluent in both English and Arabic, Dr. Salem enjoys soccer and fishing in his free time, reflecting his belief in maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life outside of medicine.
