Get to know General Surgeon Dr. Kenneth M. Schwartz, who serves the population of Connecticut. Dr. Schwartz graduated with his Medical Degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in 2007, giving him over a decade of experience in his field. After obtaining his degree he completed his residency with the Hospital of Saint Raphael. Wanting to further his training he them completed his Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship with Jackson Memorial Hospital where he also received advanced training in LINX. Dr. Schwartz is certified by the American Board of Surgery. To stay up to date in his field he remains a professional member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He currently practices with MidState Medical Center and is affiliated with Hartford Hospital and the Hospital of Central Connecticut where he holds an expertise in Minimally Invasive, Laparoscopic Surgeries, Reflux Disease, Hernias, and LINX. General surgeons not only perform surgeries for a wide range of common ailments, but are also responsible for patient care before, during, and after surgery.
