Subsequently, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine in 1992, and his fellowship in rheumatology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1995.
Having been in practice for over 36 years, Dr. Cuesta is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, he is a member of the American College of Physicians.
