Dr. Hamza has completed two prestigious fellowships at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in General Surgical Pathology and Genitourinary Pathology. He also completed an internship in Dermatology and Plastic Surgery at Bahawal Victoria Hospital. 

With his expertise in pathology and laboratory medicine, Dr. Hamza has made significant contributions to his field. He completed his residency in Clinical Pathology at Quaid-e-Azam Medical College and later at St. John Hospital and Medical Center as an AP/CP Resident. Throughout his career, he has received several awards and recognitions for his outstanding work. These include second place in the Annual Research Day, Best Presentation Award at ICGO 2018, the STAR Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, and being selected as a Blue Ribbon Finalist in the ASCP Annual Meeting. Additionally, his abstract was chosen as one of the top awardees in the American College of Medical Quality Abstract Program and was featured on the American Board of Medical Quality Website.

A highly trained pathologist, Dr. Hamza holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Hamza embarked on his medical journey at Quiad-e-Azam Medical College in Pakistan, later relocating to the United States to complete his AP/CP residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. His post-residency path led him to undertake fellowships in general surgical pathology and selective genitourinary pathology at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath, a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, is to serve the public and advance the profession of pathology by setting certification standards and promoting lifelong competency of pathologists.

Solidifying his commitment to excellence within his field, Dr. Hamza is recognized as a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and in some cases, the whole body.
